Textile and Carpets

All those textile materials (derived from natural or synthetic fibers) arrived at the end of the cycle, carpeting and rugs are shredded and used inside the mix of materials composing the RDF or SRF.

The operation can be carried out in two or in one single stage. A two-stage process (volume reduction with two-shaft shredders and subsequent refinement of the final size of the material with single-, three- or four-shaft shredders) will grant a higher production and energy saving (in proportion) while, if processed directly with single-, three- or four-shaft shredders, the production rate will be less and the energy consumption could be relatively higher.
