Electric and hydraulic drive — 3 to 235 kW

Satrindtech dual-shaft shredders represent the broadest and most versatile series in our range. Two counter-rotating shafts equipped with interchangeable blades of variable thickness (12 to 100 mm) work in opposition to tear, rip, and reduce heterogeneous materials of any shape and consistency.

The dual-shaft principle requires no pre-shredding: material is fed directly into the working chamber, and high torque at low speed ensures shredding even of the most resistant materials, from tires to metal drums, from bulky waste to industrial refuse.

The Satrindtech dual-shaft range covers a power range from 3 to 220 kW and throughput from a few tens of kg/h up to 40 t/h, with electric drive for compact sizes and hydraulic drive for large machines. All models are manufactured in Italy and available in various configurations of working chamber to suit the specific requirements of each application.

Applications / Materials

The high torque and low speed of 2-shaft shredders make them suitable for a wide range of materials, including those that would pose problems for other shredding technologies. Model selection depends on material type, processing volumes, and required output size.

Safety and Reliability

SatrindTech dual-shaft shredders are designed and manufactured in compliance with the European Machinery Directive. Robust construction and integrated protection systems ensure operational continuity and operator safety even in the most demanding applications.
  • Automatic overload protection system: In case of non-shreddable material or overload, the shafts automatically reverse rotation to release the material and resume the cycle, protecting the mechanics and reducing downtime.

  • Access panels with safety microswitches: Automatic shaft shutdown when any access panel to the working chamber is opened.

  • Interchangeable blades without rotor disassembly: Quick replacement of blades and spacers directly on the machine, reducing maintenance downtime.

  • Heavy-duty steel frame: High-strength steel load-bearing structure, designed to absorb the impulsive stresses typical of shredding hard and heterogeneous materials.

  • Hydraulic drive with safety valve: On hydraulic models, the maximum pressure valve protects the system in case of sudden blockage.

  • Integrated electrical panel: Automatic work cycle management with thermal protections, counters, and alarm signals.
