Satrindtech 4-shaft shredders represent the most advanced technology in our range for output particle size control. Four counter-rotating shafts, arranged on two overlapping planes, work in sequence: the two upper shafts perform pre-shredding of the material, while the two lower shafts complete the reduction, ensuring extremely uniform and consistent output. This dual-stage shredding process eliminates the need for sizing screens and minimizes dust production, thanks to the low shaft speed.

Four-shaft technology is the ideal choice for applications requiring 24/7 operational continuity with consistent output: WEEE, medical waste, municipal solid waste, plastics, and industrial waste. The range covers power ratings from 30 to 320 kW with working chambers up to 1960×1690 mm, available in electric version for compact sizes (4S series) and hydraulic for large-capacity machines (4R series).

Safety and Reliability

SatrindTech 4-shaft shredders are designed and manufactured in compliance with the European Machinery Directive. The dual-stage configuration with four shafts reduces stress on each individual component, increasing machine service life and reducing long-term maintenance costs.
  • Automatic overload protection system: Automatic reversal of all four shafts in case of non-shreddable material, with cycle resumption without operator intervention.
  • Access panels with safety microswitches: Automatic shutdown of the entire machine when any access panel to the working chamber is opened.
  • Low shaft speed: Reduced shaft speed minimizes dust production and overheating risk, essential for WEEE and medical waste.
  • Interchangeable blades with multiple thicknesses: The 4S series offers four interchangeable blade thicknesses (15–19–29–43 mm) to adapt output particle size to process requirements.
