Absolutely not, the expo is Ecomondo and the new revolutionary electric drive system is not intended for vehicles, but rather for our latest 150HP electric 2-shaft industrial shredder with automatic transmission.

In the full spirit of the initiative, SatrindTech is pleased to present the new application of its revolutionary electric drive system for high-power shredders: the 150HP electric 2-shaft industrial shredder with automatic transmission.
Already successfully applied to 50HP 2-shaft shredders, now in series production in the line designated K50/M, SatrindTech is expanding this innovative type of drive system by applying it to higher-power 2-shaft shredder families. There are two versions of shredders to which the new drive system can be applied: those with 150HP and with 100HP.
The innovations don’t end here. At Ecomondo 2018 we will also present another recent new addition to our catalog: the electric 4-shaft shredder from the 4S series with power ratings from 40 to 60HP.
The new products arise from the new needs of industry, today more than ever sensitive to issues such as energy efficiency, sustainability, and recycling. But not only that: working closely with our customers and partners (who appreciate us for the meticulousness of our approach), we have designed products with their feedback and the specific requirements of each shredding application in mind.
Why an electric industrial shredder with automatic transmission?
Productivity, compactness, quiet operation, and ease of maintenance are the fundamental characteristics that distinguish the automatic transmission serving the K50/M series. Building on the success of this product, we have sought to replicate its advantages and strengths in an even larger and more powerful format. The 150HP and 100HP versions feature further improvements to the technical elements in motion transmission and are ready to present themselves to the market directly among the most innovative devices in the entire landscape of industrial shredders.
In the 150HP electric 2-shaft industrial shredder with automatic transmission, it is possible to replace the bulky and noisy hydraulic power unit with a more compact electric drive system. This constitutes a significant competitive advantage for the customer, with an even lower operating cost. The operating logic is governed by a programmable logic controller (PLC) and the machinery is compliant with Industry 4.0 standards.
The optimal management of power transmission by the 150HP (or 100HP) motor, finally, allows avoiding both the peak during startup due to high current draw, and achieving optimal torque in shorter times. The system, as in the K50/M series, “combines the automatic torque and speed regulation capability typical of a hydraulic drive, with the advantages of an electric drive.”
This technical solution can be applied with extreme versatility to a wide range of shredding solutions. The 150HP electric 2-shaft industrial shredder with automatic transmission is ideal for significant performance even exceeding 5 t/h. The materials that can be processed include:
- plastics (sprues in PET, HDPE, PVC, PP or PC and plastics in general, pipes and profiles, drums and cubitainers in HDPE, automotive components in ABS, PU, PP, PE)
- RDF and SRF
- metal drums
- packaging
- car tires, debeaded truck tires

- cardboard and wooden pallets
