Shredder Blade Resharpening
The lifecycle of a blade set is one of the factors that most significantly impacts the total operating cost of an industrial shredder. For this reason, at SatrindTech we design and manufacture blades of the highest quality, engineered to operate under extreme conditions and to be resharpened many times, maintaining reliable performance over time.
Our blades are manufactured from hot-forged steel, a material developed specifically for heavy-duty applications. The core is hardened through a multi-stage heat treatment process, designed to achieve an optimal balance between hardness and resilience. This manufacturing process significantly extends the useful life of the blade pack and reduces the number of replacements required during the equipment’s lifetime: a tangible advantage, especially in industrial environments where continuity and maintenance costs make a critical difference.
A “factory-grade” resharpening service, with inspections and CNC precision


SatrindTech blade resharpening is performed in our specialized machine shop, following controlled procedures and thorough preliminary inspections. Before beginning any work, we analyze the condition of the blade set to assess:
The work is performed using computer numerical control (CNC) centers to ensure high-quality and repeatable grinding. The objective is not to simply “touch up” the blades, but to restore the original conditions of the entire blade pack, including profiles and cutting edges, in accordance with design geometries.
To maintain geometric specifications, the operation is completed with the addition of necessary components (such as spacers and cleaning sectors) that compensate for the millimeters of material removed during sharpening.
