Refrigerated Bodies

Recycling and reuse: transforming refrigerated bodies into secondary raw materials

A refrigerated body is an insulated compartment installed on a vehicle, designed for transporting goods that require controlled temperature.

There are various types of refrigerated bodies, which differ in size, temperature, insulation type, and refrigeration system.

The structure of the refrigerated body consists mainly of:

1. Cell Material

  • Recyclable Plastic: The refrigerated cell is made of recyclable plastic materials such as high-density polyethylene (HDPE) or polypropylene (PP). These materials offer excellent insulating properties, strength, and lightness.

2. Insulation

  • Expanded polystyrene foam (EPS): The interior of the walls, floor, and roof is insulated with expanded polystyrene foam, which is also recyclable and offers excellent temperature retention capacity.

3. Internal Lining

  • Smooth and hygienic surface: The internal lining is made of recyclable plastic with a smooth surface to facilitate cleaning and maintain high hygiene standards, essential for transporting food products.

Refrigerated bodies are used for transporting a wide range of products that require controlled temperature.

Refrigerated bodies are therefore an essential means of transport for moving goods that require controlled temperature.

Advanced recycling solution for refrigerated bodies

We supplied a European leader in refrigerated bodies, known for its technological innovation and industrial expansion and which produces various types of refrigerated bodies and refrigeration units, with a 2-shaft shredder with 18.5kW electric motor, from the K25HP series, for the recovery of truck refrigerated cells.

The plastic material panels are disassembled and shredded, then regranulated to be used as secondary raw materials in the production of new refrigerated bodies.

Shredders belonging to this family are used in industrial settings for volume reduction of materials such as plastic (sprues in PET, HDPE, PVC, PP or PC and plastic in general, pipes and profiles, PET bottles, drums and cubitainers in HDPE, automotive components in ABS, PU, PP, PE), RDF and SRF, packaging, oil filters, food waste, aluminum scraps and cans, electronic waste, metal scraps, confidential documents, paper, cardboard, wooden pallets, hazardous and pharmaceutical waste.

For materials approved by SatrindTech, the K25HP series is also available with the patented CL configuration that allows for a regular output material size.
