Four shafts are better than two:\u00a0modular 4-shaft industrial shredders <\/strong><\/h2>\n

SatrindTech will attend IFAT<\/strong> <\/a>in Munich, Germany, the world’s largest exhibition for the management of water systems, wastewater, waste and raw material technologies.<\/p>\n

Addressed exclusively for professionals until a few years ago, IFAT is now a great opportunity to enhance infrastructure and its relationship with the environment. This year\u2019s central themes will be the circular economy, secondary raw materials treatment, plastics management and environmental technologies for sustainability.<\/p>\n

What better venue to present SatrindTech\u2019s innovations? From 14-18 May 2018, SatrindTech will unveil the prototype of the new 4S industrial shredder <\/strong>at the Munich exhibition, \u00a04-shaft electric shredder<\/strong> that joins the already wide range of products available to our partners.<\/p>\n

Innovation starts from product design<\/h2>\n

Why shouldn\u2019t a product like an industrial shredder allow customisation? This is the question we tried to answer when designing the 4S shredder.<\/p>\n

Recycling and infrastructure machinery have recently begun to understand and exploit the new Industry\u00a04.0<\/strong><\/a> trends and the possibilities offered by the Internet of Things<\/strong><\/a>. This is a great opportunity for SatrindTech, hence we decided to follow these new trends with our products. The 4S range is the first example of this transformation, starting from a different product design philosophy and moving to a new flexible maintenance model.<\/p>\n

We present 4S: the first range of modular 4-shaft industrial shredders made by SatrindTech<\/h2>\n

The new 4S<\/a> shredder <\/strong>is available in 12 versions<\/strong> and offers full modularity, meeting various demands for different materials such as paper, cardboard, plastic, hospital waste, wood and post-consumer products in aluminium and plastic, packaging and much more.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Modular<\/p>\n

Our technology ensures control of fraction size of the processed material.<\/p>\n

Flexibility <\/strong>is provided by four different motor<\/strong> options:<\/p>\n

  • 4S\/30: Two 15HP motors<\/li>\n
  • 4S\/40: Two 20HP motors<\/li>\n
  • 4S\/50: Two 25HP motors<\/li>\n
  • 4S\/60: Two 30HP motors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    and three different shredding chamber<\/strong> sizes:<\/p>\n

    1. 698×800 mm<\/li>\n
    2. 1044×800 mm<\/li>\n
    3. 1218×800 mm<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Customization<\/strong> is focused on screen size and blades thickness<\/strong> to achieve the demanded fraction size.<\/p>\n

      A PLC<\/strong> provides full automated machine control by components which are part of Industry 4.0 project. Also, they allow communication in compliance with the Internet of Things.<\/p>\n

      Smart shredders: the revolution starts from maintenance<\/h2>\n

      Based on our experience and end-users\u2019 feedback, our R&D focused on reducing maintenance downtime.<\/p>\n

      Machine body is based on a modular model<\/strong> for easy and fast reassembly.<\/p>\n

      Replacement of blades<\/strong> does not take long, as shafts can be lifted and removed, allowing exchange with spare shafts equipped with sharpened blades. Worn blades disassembly can be done off-line without impact on production time.<\/p>\n

      Also, in a short time and with few operations, it is possible to upgrade<\/strong> the 4S7\/30 to the 4S12\/60 model.<\/p>\n
