This is probably what our Milanese customer in the sector had in mind when he presented us with his problem regarding the shredding of scraps and shavings in PTFE.

The solution proposed in relation to the volumes of waste to be treated and the loading method, was that of a two-shaft shredder of the K25 CV series, fit on a support frame with gates and a conical trunk hopper for loading.

The shredder was equipped with 4 50 mm picks.

Since the customer collects waste and shavings from the processing residues in bins, we proposed a loading system with our new production tilter lifter, which directly tilts the contents of the bins in the hopper with the aid of a loading platform.

The shredding of scraps and shavings in PTFE cycle is managed by a single control panel with Siemens PLC, in remote assistance.

Given the need to keep the treated material as “clean” as possible, a special feature is the grinding chamber, which has been completely galvanically treated. The treatment process increases the surface hardness, but above all it does not allow the detachment of metal particles and the formation of oxide. Thus, the material does not pollute.

Instead, the loading hopper is made of AISI 304 stainless steel.

The supply also includes our new telediagnosis system which uses the machine’s Internet connection to redirect the process data to an IoT (Internet of Things) web platform, which the customer can easily consult from desktops, tablets and smartphones.

The reading of signals originating from the PLC makes it possible to generate rules and actions via e-mail or text message, both for alarm and maintenance purposes. Our after-sales service has directly installed and started up the system at the customer’s premises.
